The benefits of becoming an NRA CRSO are:

You will learn how to write Standard Operating Procedures for a range.

You will be authorized to teach and certify new NRA RSOs.

You will learn to run a range and manage RSOs.

You must complete the NRA RSO certification before attending the NRA CRSO certification course.

The course is taught by a fulltime firearms instructor who is an NRA Training Counselor and a Chief Range Safety Officer.
