Mike worked as a handgun instructor at Front Sight Firearms Academy in Nevada where, as a student, he earned Distinguished Graduate in Defensive Handgun, Practical Rifle, Tactical Shotgun, and Rifle Marksmanship. He earned Expert level at Gunsite Academy in their 250 red dot pistol class. Mike earned a bachelor's in Political Science and a master's in Christian Theology. He is competitive shooter and certified Range Officer with the USPSA, where he has competed in two national championships. Mike is certified to teach First Aid/CPR/AED and Wilderness and Remote First Aid through the American Red Cross. He is a certified instructor with Stop The Bleed, and is a Sabre Red certified instructor for pepper spray. Mike is a certified Hunter Education Instructor for the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife. He is Certified CCW Instructor and a Certified Firearms Instructor with the CA Department of Justice. Mike served in the US Army as a paratrooper and a medic.
