Appendix Carry For Fat Guys

It is a common misconception that fat guys can’t conceal carry in the appendix position. Not true. Appendix carry is always a faster draw and will always have less printing. In order to appendix carry, a person with a tactical belly should have a holster which has a hinge or some flex between the gun holster and the magazine holder. This flex allows the holster rig to bend around the belly. In addition, the shooter must use foam wedges behind the gun holster and the appendix holster. The foam wedge is due two things, add comfort and, when placing the large edge of the wedge down it tilts the appendix holster so that the gun is not leaning forward because of the belly. A good appendix holster is going to be more expensive to experiment with.
