CCW: Don't Be Irresponsible

If you have a concealed carry permit, don't be irresponsible. Don't be reckless. The CCW is not a license to be foolish with your firearm. A concealed carry permit does not give you the ability to display your gun if somebody cuts you off in traffic or gives the wrong change in a checkout line or disrespects your mother or hits on your girlfriend. You only carry a firearm to protect you and those around you from death or great bodily harm. A concealed carry permit has not turned you into a cop. You are not here to enforce laws. It has also not turned you into a superhero. You are not here to avenge justice or determine right and wrong. A concealed carry permit does not give you a ticket to go out and do stupid things with stupid people at stupid times of the day in stupid parts of town. You are held to a higher standard. If you have a concealed carry permit your gun should be your last resort. Learn to de-escalate situations. Avoid conflict, and always be responsible.
