A first aid kit should be as common in your range bag as eye protection, ear protection, and a speed loader. Statistically, the odds of getting hurt on the range are very low. However, when it comes to life, we don’t play around with odds. A human being can bleed to death in 1 to 2 minutes. Time is a luxury in a traumatic bleeding situations. At a minimum, your range first aid kit should include two quality tourniquets, lots of compressed gauze, two sets of chest seals, and quick clot. In addition, you should be trained, certified, and well-practiced in administering aid with these items in an emergency situation.
