Eye dominance is the eye your brain prefers to receive information from. A majority of Americans are same side dominant, which means right hand and right eye or left hand and left eye. About 25 or 30% of the population is cross eye dominant, which means right hand left eye or left-hand right eye. To determine your eye dominance, keep both eyes open, raise your dominant thumb in the air and cover the nose of another person. Your dominant eye is the one your brain prefers. A cross eye dominant person should not tilt their head or change the dominant hand. Instead, simply rotate your head to place your dominant eye in alignment with the gun.
