Lean Forward When Shooting


When you are shooting lean forward at the waist. Some people stand up straight when they shoot. This reduces your stability and makes you more susceptible to recoil. Some new shooters lean back when they shoot. They do this in an effort to get away from the tiny explosion that is about to occur. This doesn't work. No matter if you are leaning backwards or forward, the explosion is going to occur two feet from your face. You want to lean forward at the waist and stick your butt out just a little bit. With your chest over your toes, you are going to create a more stable platform. And, most importantly you are going to mitigate the muzzle flip. Any felt muzzle flip caused by the recoil of the gun is going to be diminished greatly if you are leaning forward. To reduce the felt recoil of the gun lean forward
