If you have small hands or short fingers, sometimes it can be difficult to reach and engage the magazine release button. Sometimes, it is the fault of a large magazine well or a short magazine release button. No matter the problem, you can learn to rotate the firearm in your hand, so as to gain better access to the magazine release button. Either rotate the gun in your hand by grabbing it with the support hand and then rotating the dominant hand or, rotate the gun in your support hand by placing your index finger against the side of the slide and simply pushing it. Sometimes the problem can be solved by purchasing and installing an extended magazine release button.
