A proper shooting platform is imperative when seeking consistency in your shooting. A proper shooting platform is obtained when the soft tissues of your body are relaxed and not used for support, but your bones and skeletal system are used as a foundation. Your back muscles, shoulder muscles, arm muscles, neck muscles are not heavily involved in creating a shooting platform. The bones of your upper body are used to create a sturdy platform. The joints are locked, and the bones are used to create sturdy geometric shapes. When a proper shooting platform s used in the upper body, the position of the legs and the terrain which you stand are less important. In addition, a proper shooting platform helps to identify a natural point of aim.
