Stress inoculation is when you teach your body to perform under adverse conditions. At some level, every human being freezes when confronted with a stressful situation. By continually exposing yourself to stressful circumstances, you learn to save valuable seconds in your response. By adding difficulty to your training, like jumping jacks, burpees, speed walking, a timer, or anything, which gets you out of your comfort zone, we learned to perform under stress. The more we perform under stress, the better we perform when it really counts.
